Don't get too excited, your best bet is buying a new phone, not from tmobile. Because they won't do anything about it. Even with insurance, all they're willing to send me is the same horrible phone. Mind you I've been with tmobile since August, that's what... eight months? I started with the S4, they've sent me 4 different Galaxy S4s... 2 of them have had the sim card error, including the one I have now. With the other two one of the charger ports poops the bed, and the other one wouldn't accept or receive calls.. all they're willing to do is send me my fifth refurbished Galaxy S4... when I paid for a brand new one. They told me, that's all we're allowed to do. Yeah, you're gonna tell me if a TMobile employee had this problem they'd give them the same refurbished phone? Negative. I'm trying to leave TMobile asap, because this is incredibly poor service.
Re: Galaxy S4 Sim Card Error
Re: Very slow internet speed
Same issue here, though I am certain it is T-Mobile and not an issue with location or my devices.
I have 3 Samsung Note3, 2 are Lollipop the other is KitKat. Using same SIM card and using Ookla speed test I average 22Kbps on all devices, tested from Irvine all the way up to Santa Monica!!! This website page took 1minute 18 seconds to load!! Unacceptable!
Rewind 2 months ago and I easily averaged 15Mbps.
I have contacted customer support with no resolution. Last ticket was closed quickly and I didn't know, because they called my wife's phone and left a message. They didn't call the phone number I called from, the main number on the account. (Ps, my wife can't speak due to stroke, so she doesn't answer phone calls).
I reside in southern California, 92840, per t mobile representatives, I should have strong signal and data. At all times I see 4 out of 5 bars, 4G/LTE, yet I frequently get message from phone system "Network not available" when using voice recognition.
I'm still paying full price, why am I not receiving what I pay for??
Side note: Lollipop sucks on Note3; since update my GPS compass is highly inaccurate, many bluetooth issues, odd battery consumption, insanely excessive memory consumption.
if you can, avoid lollipop until they work the bugs out.
Re: Can I text between my Samsung Galaxy 4 tab and phone
If you use Google hangouts on your phone, you could log in on your tablet and text. There are many text apps that you could use in the playstore.
Re: ola como le hago para usar mi sim de t mobile en un samsung galaxy s4
¿Está utilizando el servicio de T-Mobile?
Re: Changing phone, but keeping the same account
Make sure you factory reset your old phone before you give it away, otherwise they will have access to all your MS account info, payment methods, etc.

Re: NO DATA SERVICE
I would be curious to find out if it does work on Metro PCS.
Re: Data roaming in India
hhi miket
my my plan is a data only pplan tthat includes 5gb data and advertises free international roaming (see International Plans | Traveling Abroad without Roaming Fees | T-Mobile). In the us I use the pan with a mf61 mifi but the frequencies it covers are us only. Would like to hear from a official tmo person on whether what I'm doing should work.
sorry for the typos...I'm in rural India with only an iphone for using the site, the keyboard doesn't work too well on this forum .
Re: Music Freedom fraud?
Ok, I did my own test and found that Rhapsody hardly used any data for an hour of music streaming. Then I returned home from my trip out of town, so I was able to find the high data use culprits on my daughter's phone; NetFlix and YouTube (even though she had initially told me all she did that day was stream music). So, as mentioned by others, the high data consumption wasn't due to Rhapsody music streaming. Still doesn't excuse what I was incorrectly told by two different T-Mobile reps. And before it is suggested, I made it clear to them what I was asking and they still insisted that Rhapsody music streaming counted against her data cap. I will now consider this issue closed, but seems some T-Mobile reps need better training.
Re: Data roaming in India
That link you gave is for the regular PHONE Simple Choice Plan. As I mentioned, a data SIM, like in my Tablet, will NOT work in a phone - or vice versa. I have used my phone SIM to use the "Free" data in many countries. I can not use the SIM in my tablet. In fact, I don't take my tablet when I leave the country. There is NO tethering with the free data allowance you get from TM. TM does sell a high speed intl. data pkg. to use w. a TM SIM - but it would be MUCH cheaper to buy a local data SIM. Your problem would be that your device is probably still locked to TM.
Again - Did you ever use the SIM and device you have in the U.S.?
Unlimited 4G/LTE data. Only while your sleeping?
I'm am located in Creedmoor, TX. 8 miles SE of Austin, TX. About a month ago I became a T-Mobile Unlimited Talk, Text and 4G/LTE data user. Within the first week on 3/4/15 I reported the following to T-Mobile:
- Refurbished LG P659 - New2Me from T-Mobile.
- 4 of 5 bars of 4G/LTE shown in top bar of phone screen.
- Dismal speeds of .005 Mbs down and 1-2 Mbs up during daytime hours. (~6 am through mid-night). You read that right, 16KBs or less down and somewhat normal up speed with excessive timeouts and stalling messages.
- Acceptable speeds of 8-10 Mbs down and 2-8 Mbs up from the wee hours of the morning thru dawn.
T-Mobile's response three days later was "Not an issue". The problem still existed so I pressed for more info only to be told there was indeed a problem with the local tower that would be fixed on 3/12/15. I expressed concern that they had outright lied on the ticket and that the service had not worked and now was projected to be broken the entire money back period. They would not extend the trial period but assurred me there would be credit for the period the service was down.
On 3-13-15, the last day of the money back period the problem still existed and I was told there was still a problem with no estimate of when it would be fixed. They also suggested that I go to a local store and get a sim test done to eliminate the phone as the cause of the problem and that they would do no more analysis of the problem until the phone was eliminated. I expressed concern about the probability of the phone being the cause of a time based failure. And that their request that I put out more time and money to prove a T-Mobile warrantied phone might be defective was out of the question.
It is now 3/23/15 and T-Mobile has issued a bill with the full amount due. The promised credit never materialized and the service is still broken. Per T-Mobile returning the phone now will result in a restocking fee equivalent to what I paid for the phone 4 weeks ago.
T-Mobile has acted in bad faith. So how do I get T-Mobile to step up and do the right thing?
Re: Music Freedom fraud?
Rhapsody will use data for the album art and the lyrics(very very small amount overall), but the actual music itself uses none. That is something I think T-Mobile should clarify for some users.
Okk .. I currently have a iphone 6 that is cracked and beat up. I have insurence on it and will file for a damage claim and recieve a replacement. Can i get the replacement in a different color ?
ANYONE CAN ANSWER .
no internet connection using cellular data
So, today I started to experience an issue with my cellular connection. I cannot connect to websites when I use my LTE cellular data connection. I get an error in Chrome that says "No data received"-Error code:ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE. In safari it simply states that it cannot open the page because network connection was lost. However, if I type in chrome a key word or a website it will give me the google search results, but when i click on the link I get the error I mentioned above. If I try to access a website by directly typing the address I get the same error. This DOES NOT happen when I am using wifi. This only happens on cellular. I have tried resetting my internet settings and restarting the phone, but this does not solve the problem.
I would appreciate help in resolving this issues. Thanks in advance.
